Congrats to the winners of our Young Artist Competition

Taylenne Johnson, soprano and Tokuji Miyasaka, violin take home top prizes

After a thrilling evening of phenomenal performances by our six finalists, we want to congratulate these extremely talented young performers for their incredible achievements, hard work, and outstanding musicianship.

The judges panel, which included Maria Garcia, Katherine Goforth, and Stephen Shepherd, decided to award the following medals:

Violin category:
Gold- Tokuji Miyasaka
Silver - Lin Tokura
Bronze - Timothy Yu

Voice category:
Gold - Taylenne Johnson
Silver - Lucinda Mone
Bronze - Emma Nichols


The gold medal winners each received a check for $1000 and will have the opportunity to perform with the PCO in the fall of 2024 (concert date TBA). Silver medalists received $750 while bronze medalists received $500. Prize amounts were paid for by our generous event sponsors:
