WHY SUPPORT US?
Your tax deductible donation to the Portland Chamber Orchestra enables us to offer the most exciting programs and high quality musicianship that we have become known for. We bring you both local professional musicians and world-class soloists, like Richard Zeller and Mei-Ting Sun in the past few years.

We are also proud to showcase young local talent, and regularly feature up-and-coming artists from the Portland Metro Area. Partnerships with the Portland Boychoir, the Hillsboro Community Youth Choir and other young artists from the Portland Youth Philharmonic yield wonderful, inspiring performances. A new educational program, focused on Music and brain development, will be announced in 2012.

The Portland Chamber Orchestra is now in its 65th season! Your donation honors a long tradition in Portland, and players past and present. We are proud as a performing arts organization that we are operating debt free. However, our concert income can only cover about 40% of our costs. We are committed to keeping our concert prices affordable and so we rely on the generous donations of people like you.

We are also deeply grateful to receive generous financial contributions from our corporate partner Rodgers Instruments and Tuality Healthcare and support from the Regional Arts and Culture Council, Oregon Arts Commission, Hillsboro Arts and Culture Council, City of Hillsboro and others.
